Great insert

Have been using this insert for about 4 months now. We are both very happy with it. Perfect for a small room. Glass viewing area is very large. Beautiful flames. Firebox is smaller, but appropriate for a stove this size. Room is 27x15 with an attached dining room maybe 20x10. Like a big L shape. Heats it good. Inserts by nature do not throw as much heat as a stand alone because they are set back into the fireplace. You will not heat a whole home with this insert unless it is an open floor plan. If you have air wide open you can burn the 3 or so logs in just a couple hours and have nice bed of coals. Cutting back the air can make flames last 4-5 hours and leave coals. It will not burn all night. Typically we get up and put wood in sometime during the night and then in the morning is how we do it. I wish we had put this in 25 years ago. Large fireplace was used every year a lot but it wasted so much wood and threw minimal heat. Overall we both love this insert and would buy one again.
