I’m happy to leave a comment because this is a brilliant stove! I would not choose any other brand. I owned a 70’s era Englander for 10 years in my former house and regretted leaving it every winter for the 20 years that have passed since then. Just received our new Blue Ridge 500-1 a week ago, installed it just before the big storm, and have had it burning for the last 4 days straight. It is clearly a more mature design than my old unit with secondary air injection and a large glass door. It has shown excellent heating characteristics and AMAZING efficiency with fantastic heat output and extremely low wood consumption rates. Due to its high quality materials it is heavy (520lbs) so make a plan for moving it. I am very impressed with this unit and would buy it again.
